Mr. Samyog Dhakal is a motivated and passionate individual with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University. His areas of interest include Waste Management, Renewable Energy, and Invasive Plant Species. During his bachelor, he was able to secure research grant for Environmental Protection Project (EPP) funded by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Developments (BMZ) and tdh Germany in an idea of application of invasive plant species for waste management.
Mr. Dhakal has gained valuable experience as a field researcher of ERMC Nepal for the World Bank’s “Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia Project” being implemented in collaboration with the South Asia Cooperative Environment Programme (SACEP) working in Kathmandu, Nepalgunj and Biratnagar. Additionally, his work as an Associate Environmentalist at NEA Engineering Company on projects such as the Shreenagar-Simikot transmission line, Haitar-shitalpati Arun Corridor Transmission line, Kimanthanka Arun Hydropower project, and Betan Karnali Hydropower project has provided him with a deep understanding of environmental impact assessments and sustainability.
Mr. Dhakal’s passion for environmental issues extends beyond his professional work, as he has also been an active member of Rotaract Club and Hult Prize at Kathmandu University and coordinator of Environmental Magazine, Pratibimba 2020. Furthermore, his involvement in Red Cross and Amnesty International has honed his leadership and organizational skills.
Mr. Dhakal believes that the changes are possible only when one can recognize the self ability. Mr.Dhakal, loves to explore new opportunities in different fields to enhance his creativity.
